An upright, bushy, broadleaf evergreen shrub with thick, waxy green leaves with golden-yellow margins. Outstanding features are its golden variegation and tolerance for poor soils and salt spray. Insignificant white flowers bloom in summer and develop pink fruit in autumn. Can be sheared, making it an excellent hedge or foundation plant. Moderate grower to 6-10 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide.
Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil.
