Astilbe 'Amethyst' sends up feathery lilac-pink plumes in mid to late summer above ferny, deep green foliage. Growing to about 30 inches, it thrives in moist, shady borders and along pond edges, and the dried plumes hold interest into winter. Deer and rabbit resistant.
