To reach its hot potential, Burning Bush Pepper needs lots of sun and heat from nature. Plant it in a sunny spot that gets at least 6 hours of full sun a day.
Burning Bush needs about 11 weeks of steady growth to produce the ripest, hottest peppers. The plant eventually reaches about 2 feet high and wide and can be loaded with green and orange fruit. Although it makes a great container plant, the pepper won't get enough sun and heat indoors to produce hot peppers.
Water immediately after planting Burning Bush Pepper and regularly until the plant is well established. Continue to water consistently, but don't overwater the pepper plant. Slow, deep water is better for the roots, which do not like to sit in soggy soil.
