This selection produces delicious, delicately flavored berries in spring, as well as through summer to autumn. This strawberry was bred specifically for hanging baskets and containers, making it the ideal choice for gardeners with limited space! Pick the fruit once it has turned deep red, and eat it fresh or serve on a fruit tray. After harvesting, do not wash the berries until you are ready to eat or freeze them.
It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. As an herbaceous perennial, this plant will usually die back to the crown each winter, and will regrow from the base each spring. Be careful not to disturb the crown in late winter when it may not be readily seen! This is a self-pollinating variety, so it doesn't require a second plant nearby to set fruit.
It does best in full sun to partial shade.
